Kitchen Alchemy – What Makes A Good Recipe ?

A pinch of this.

A squeeze of that.

Spice. Seasoning.

Flavour. Taste. Cooking.

20th Century Alchemy

– Caro Ness

A couple of weeks  ago I was invited to be a guest on Karen Kennaby, presenter of the Untangled FM radio show Taste Of Life. Last Thursday evening, Karen and I spent a great 50 minutes or so discussing our passion for Flavours and food in general. Below is the context of the show – title Kitchen Alchemy

Flavour. What makes a “good” recipe? A “good” dish? Everyone has a totally unique palate and what works for one person might not for another, it’s about alchemy, in it’s truest sense. Anita-Clare loves experimenting in the kitchen and she loves sharing her high quality fuss-free information – through her site, books, master classes & more. Encouraging people to get brave! A recipe is just a guideline… her recipe book doesn’t even have pictures to encourage people to do it their way. Do join Karen and Anita-Clare for a fun conversation which will hopefully inspire you to have some fun, play a little and create some kitchen alchemy of your own! A magical mouth party!

  2. We do a lot of cooking around here. I am avid canner. I love being able to garden and make lots of whole foods in our daily menus. I am always adding a little of this and a lot of that. I experiment all the time. The more I can use spices and real foods the better!

  3. Cooking is such an art that sometimes I find myself making stuff up on the fly as I stand in my kitchen. A dash of this and a shake of that. Fortunately for me, more often than not, my kitchen concoctions come out rather tasty!
